Sunday Morning Worship Schedule

Regular Worship Schedule

8:30 a.m. Sanctuary
9:45 a.m. Chapel
11:00 a.m. Sanctuary

Every Sunday morning we offer worship services at 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. All of our services are traditional, featuring inspiring music led by excellent vocalists and musicians..  Our 8:30 and 11 a.m. services are held in the sanctuary and offer full choirs as well as children’s moments. Our 9:45 worship is held in the intimate and historic setting of our chapel.

During the 11 a.m. service, children leave the sanctuary after the Children’s Moment for their own special time called Wonders of Worship.  There they explore the different aspects of worship and learn why we do what we do and what it all means.

The choir for the 8:30 service practices at 8 a.m. each Sunday.  The choir for the 11 a.m. service rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m.  An orchestra of volunteer musicians plays throughout the year.

The 9:45 a.m. service in the chapel is a simpler worship experience featuring guest vocalists and ensemble singing.

Each week three special servants lead us into worship: a crucifer and two acolytes. These ministers of the church fulfill a tradition that reaches back to the early years of Christianity. They remind each worshiper of God’s presence with us as well as our charge to go into the world and share the good news of Christ.

Youth, fourth grade through twelfth grade, who want to serve as acolytes and crucifers are invited to contact Rev. Allyson Lawrence at alawrence@fayettevillefirst.com.

Click here (Acolyte Pamphlet) to download a pdf version of our acolyte pamphlet that describes roles and responsibilities of an acolyte and crucifer during the services.
